Cockeysville Middle School PTA (CMS PTA) is an independent Maryland 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation, EIN 5 2 – 1 1 9 9 2 1 0. CMS PTA is a local PTA unit organized under the authority of the Free State PTA, Inc., which is the Maryland branch of the National Congress of Parents and Teachers (National PTA). CMS PTA also receives support and training from the PTA Council of Baltimore County. Due to the IRS moratorium on new group exemptions during Free State PTA’s formation, CMS PTA has received its IRS letter of determination (tax exemption) through PTA Delaware Congress’ group exemption, thanks to cooperation between Free State PTA and PTA Delaware Congress. The CMS PTA EIN is listed on the IRS Exempt Organizations Business Master File Extract as falling under PTA Delaware Congress Group Exemption #2155.
